Want to Host an Event in Town?
The Town of Vienna offers several options for hosting private gatherings, neighborhood celebrations, and community events. Explore the options below to find a location or learn more about hosting your event.
Depending on your event and location, a permit or additional approval may be required. Review the Town's Special Events Permits page for application instructions and requirements.
Town Green
The Town Green is available for nonprofit organizations to host community events on a limited basis. Because it is a public park, public access remains available during privately organized events. If you’re interested in hosting a privately organized event on the Town Green, submit a Town Green Special Event Permit(PDF, 623KB) to the parks and recreation department, along with a $25 nonrefundable fee.
Picnic Shelter Rentals
Picnic shelters at several Town parks are available for private gatherings and celebrations. Reservations are limited to four-hour time slots:
A maximum of two reservations are accepted per day.

Block Party
Block parties offer a wonderful way to get outside, mingle with neighbors, and have a good time among Town families.
During a party, one block of a road is closed to allow neighbors to more freely socialize and to provide children with a safe area to play.
Applying to host a block party is easy. Just complete a Block Party Permit and submit it to the town manager, per the form’s instructions.
Charity Walk/Run, Fundraising Run, 5k Runs/Race
Road races and similar activities may require special coordination with the Town, including traffic and public safety considerations.

Vienna Community Center
The Vienna Community Center offers rental spaces for birthday parties, reunions, meetings, and other approved gatherings, subject to availability.
