Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is a semi-judicial body that holds public hearings on zoning variances, conditional use permits, and administrative appeals.
The Board of Zoning Appeals:
- Considers and grants variances when strict compliance to the zoning ordinance is not practical or represents an unnecessary hardship.
- Grants special exceptions, conditional uses, and variances to developmental standards.
- Hears appeals of decisions made by the zoning administrator.
- Helps property owners with special situations find relief when there is good and sufficient cause.
