Public Notice Signs

Public notice signs are posted on properties in the Town of Vienna when an application requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, or Town Council. These signs provide advance notice of requests such as Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Modifications of Requirements, Rezonings, and Appeals.

Public notice signs are posted in accordance with Virginia Code § 2.2-3707, which requires that public bodies provide advance notice of meetings and public hearings. Each sign includes the hearing date(s), the application type, a brief description of the proposal, and a unique Sign ID number.

Where and when meetings are held

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings and public hearings are held at:
Town Hall, 127 Center Street, S, Council Chambers (2nd floor).

How to use the Sign ID number

Each sign posted on a property includes a Sign ID Number.
Use that number in the table below to find:

  • the type of application,

  • the property address,

  • a summary of the proposal, and

  • the scheduled meeting date(s).
