Chillin’ on Church

The coolest community block party around, Chillin’ on Church is held monthly along historic Church Street from June through September. Activities include music, food trucks, beer and wine sales, and family fun.

Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks
The Town hosts a free fireworks display, live music and more to celebrate Independence Day each year at Yeonas Park.

Halloween Parade
Held on the Wednesday before Halloween, the Town’s annual parade is a longtime tradition. Decorated floats, marching bands, and costumed children all “monster mash” their way down Maple Avenue.

Holiday Stroll
Join family and friends on Church Street the Monday after Thanksgiving to take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season and to meet Santa Claus on the Town Green Stage.

Kids on the Green
Music, live animals, puppets, and more – oh my! This interactive summer series for children is sure to put a smile on your child’s face.

Liberty Amendments Month Celebration
Join us for this new month-long community event series celebrating Juneteenth and ratification of the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th amendments to the U.S. Constitution giving all citizens equal liberties under the law.

Oktoberfest
Prost! to the Vienna Business Association for hosting this annual event the first Saturday of October. Festivities include German food, beer and wine, music, a marketplace and business expo, as well as some polka dancing.

Summer on the Green
The Town’s free summer concert series includes music from a wide range of musical genres. Gather with friends and neighbors each Friday evening in June, July and August.

Theatre Performances
The Vienna Theatre Company stages several performances throughout the year. In August, Vienna Youth Players bring a favorite musical to the stage.

Vienna Farmers Market
Get fresh at the Vienna Farmers Market held in the Vienna Community Center parking lot every Saturday morning from the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in October.

ViVa Vienna
Enjoy live music, craft vendors, amusement rides, children's entertainment and a moving Memorial Day ceremony during this annual, three-day festival held on Church Street. ViVa Vienna is a beloved Memorial Day weekend tradition and is organized by the Vienna Rotary Club.

Walk on the Hill
Stroll through the historic Windover Heights neighborhood at what is perhaps Vienna's most idyllic event and enjoy a self-guided tour the last Sunday afternoon in April.

Arbor Day Tree Planting
A proud Tree City USA, Vienna commemorates Arbor Day each year by ceremonially planting at least one tree in the community.

Big Screen on the Green
Spread out a blanket or set up a couple of lawn chairs – and break out the popcorn – to watch a family movie favorite on the big screen on the Town Green.

Bowman House Pottery Show and Sale
Purchase one-of-a-kind pieces created by Town of Vienna pottery students.

Cops and Kids Fun Run
Each fall, the Vienna Police Department challenges kids to its annual fun-run opportunity to race the chief and other officers, followed by more fun activities.

Green Expo
The Conservation and Sustainability Commission hosts an array of exhibits and demonstrations related to sustainability in April.

Halloween on the Green

Children can enjoy a craft, holiday stories, and a visit with Santa and Rudolph at this ticketed event.

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
This moving ceremony, hosted by American Legion Post 180, remembers those killed on and honors the heroes of September 11, 2001.

Public Works Open House
In celebration of Public Works Month in May, the Town of Vienna turns the keys to many of its vehicles and equipment over to the kids.
