Liberty Amendments Month Calendar 2026

The Town of Vienna's sixth annual Liberty Amendments Month (LAM) starts on June 13 and runs through July 13, 2026. Each week focuses on one of the Constitutional amendments that extends rights and liberties to U.S. citizens who originally were excluded from the Constitution. 2026 is an especially exciting year as we celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary! See below for events the LAM will present in collaboration with the Vienna250 Committee.

Our American Liberty Stories- Is there a story that you or your family members tell over and over about your family history? We want to hear your stories or see your photos about your country, your journey to citizenship, your family’s history, or what it means to you to be American or live in America. We are looking for stories and photos from individuals and families who were native to this country or who journeyed here, whether willingly or not, and how they came to enjoy the rights as Americans guaranteed by the Liberty Amendments. Submit stories for the 2026 project at any time and get more information at the link above.
View the new collection of stories and photos online at the link above starting June 13 (stories collected 2023-2025 are available now.) You can also see the stories and photos displayed in local businesses, the Vienna Community Center, the Freeman Store and Museum, and at Liberty Amendments Month events.
