Vienna Theatre Company
In the best traditions of community theater, the Vienna Theatre Company (VTC) brings engaging, entertaining and often hilarious or moving performances to the Vienna Community Center. Sponsored by the Town of Vienna, VTC stages three productions each year, plus one designed for young audiences. VTC welcomes the Vienna-area community to participate in its performances either as a member of the viewing audience or the production company.

"It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play"
A theatrical adaptation by Joe Landry of the classic film, presented as a 1940s live radio broadcast.
Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets for "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" will be available at the door only and cash, check (made payable to Vienna Theatre Company), and credit card (Visa and Mastercard) will be accepted.

Theatre for Young Audiences: "Cinderella Goes Disco"

The Prince has invited all of the girls in the kingdom to a big disco dance at the palace, but Cinderella (alas!) cannot go because she has no disco dress. Enter the Fairy Godmother. When Cinderella doubts that she can catch the eye of the handsome prince, the Fairy Godmother tries to help by telling her the story of "Sleeping Beauty" and "Beauty and the Beast." Will she be convinced and attend the dance in royal fashion? Come find out!
The show encourages audience participation and is rated G (general audiences).

Vienna Youth Players
You can’t stop the beat when Vienna Youth Players (VYP) stages a popular summer musical production. Sponsored by the Town of Vienna, a staff of theatre professionals work with students ages 10-18 in a positive, inclusive and fun environment to create a musical production. Previous performances include "Newsies," "Anastasia," "Shrek," and "Seussical."
Connect
Students ages 10-18 can audition to perform in the show and/or support behind the scenes by applying to be a techie. Details are announced in April with auditions and tech registration held in May. If you have questions, please email vypdirector@viennava.gov.
Tuition and Scholarships
Students who are accepted into the Vienna Youth Players program must register for the program through the Town of Vienna and pay tuition. Tuition for the eight-week, immersive, musical theatre program is $355 for actors and $55 for tech students.
Financial assistance is available to help cover part of all of the cost of tuition through the Town of Vienna's Scholarship program. To learn more about the guidelines and how to apply for a need-based scholarship please email vypdirector@viennava.gov.
