Planning Commission

Through adherence to and recommended changes or variances to the Town’s land-use plans and zoning codes, the Planning Commission helps shape the Vienna of the future. The Planning Commission hears and makes recommendations to Town Council regarding rezoning requests, final plats, and other planning and zoning matters. The Planning Commission is responsible for preparing the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission adopted bylaws(PDF, 334KB) in 2019 which have been amended and revised many times, the most recent revision approved in May 2023.

Meetings

The Planning Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. on the following days:

• second and fourth Wednesday January-June
• second Wednesday in July
• fourth Wednesday in August
• second and fourth Wednesday in September
• second Wednesday October-December, unless otherwise noted or amended.
