Comprehensive Plan Update

What will Vienna's future look like? 

Vienna is updating its Comprehensive Plan, the community’s long-range roadmap (10–20 years) for how land is used, how we move around, where parks and public facilities are needed, and how the Town grows sustainably and equitably.  The plan doesn’t change zoning by itself, but it sets the vision and policies that guide future zoning updates, capital investments, and development decisions.

The Town's Planning Commission is preparing the updated Comprehensive Plan and wants to hear from you.  Read the public draft, share your feedback, and join us at upcoming events.  There are two ways to provide your input:

  1. In person, orally, at the Planning Commission Public Hearing scheduled for Nov. 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers.
  2. In writing, either using the form on this page, by sending a letter to the Planning Commission, or by sending an email to the Planning Commission.
