Modifications of Requirement

• Front Yard- 15 foot front yard setback is required; 10 foot is proposed.
• Rear Yard- 10 foot rear yard setback is required; 3 foot at the closest point along the rear is proposed.
• Tree Canopy Coverage- 10% tree canopy at a maturity of 20 years is required; 4% is proposed. 7 existing street trees on Maple Ave E and 4 proposed street trees on Center St S are not included in the calculation.

Sec. 15.2-2232 Review

The Planning Commission, per Section 15.2-2232 of the Code of Virginia, is tasked with finding whether proposed public buildings are substantially in accord with the Comprehensive Plan.

October 23, 2023- Fairfax County will meet with the Town Council to review the latest design and reaffirm the Town's participation in the project.
