Capital Bikeshare

Vienna now has five fully operational Capital Bikeshare docking stations stocked with rentable bicycles, offering community members a new, sustainable and convenient way to get around town and neighboring jurisdictions.  The stations are located at Navy Federal Credit Union, the Vienna Community Center, the intersection of Maple Avenue and Nutley Street, the intersection of Patrick and Park streets, and at the W&OD Trail crossing at Ayr Hill Avenue.

The stations add 26 standard bicycles and six pedal assist electric bicycles that riders can rent and return to any station in Capital Bikeshare’s expansive network of stations in the national capital area.

Fairfax County government oversees bicycle and station operations and maintenance through a multijurisdictional contract with Lyft, which currently manages the Capital Bikeshare system across eight jurisdictions in the region. To learn more about the program and ways to report bikes that have not been returned or parked correctly, visit www.viennava.gov/bikeshare, or call Capital Bikeshare at 877-430-2453.
