Traffic Signal - Maple Avenue and Park Street
This intersection has two traffic poles with long mast arms holding signal heads at a diagonal, which does not line up with traffic lanes. Separate left-turn lights have been added, which puts extra strain on the poles. A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant will allow the Town of Vienna to replace the traffic signals at this intersection with a four-pole configuration with underground wiring and pedestrian-audible countdown signals.
