Ray Brill brings a deep commitment to public service, both locally and nationally. Before settling in Vienna, he served as a U.S. Air Force pilot and as counsel to the Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee of the U.S. House Science & Technology Committee.
Brill moved to Vienna in 2005 to become pastor at Wesley United Methodist Church and was elected to the Town Council in 2020. He is the founding scoutmaster of Troop 345 at Wesley, and he actively volunteers with the Lamb Center and Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed Hospital. His past service also includes roles on a city planning commission in Florida, as chair of a local Salvation Army chapter, and on the board of the Suzanna Wesley House for homeless women in Washington, DC.
Brill holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA from UCLA, a law degree from the University of Florida, and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jane, live in northeast Vienna and are proud parents of two daughters and grandparents of two.
