Vienna Theatre Company
Grand Night

The Vienna Theatre Company presents spring, summer, and winter productions each year at the Vienna Community Center.

The Vienna Theatre Company was started in 1974 by Norman Chaudet, who directed drama at James Madison High School. "Norm" formed the VTC after many students, whom he directed, wanted to continue to work with him after their graduation and his retirement.

After several years of working with the Vienna Department of Parks and Recreation, under Jud Hockman and Barbara Gatterdam, the company was officially chartered by the Town in 1982.

VTC grew by leaps and bounds over the next few years, bringing in an abundance of talent on stage and behind the curtain. The company continues to blossom under sponsorship of the Town of Vienna.

Today, Vienna Theatre Company is the resident, non-profit performing company at the Vienna Community Center. VTC provides opportunities to participate in theater as a viewing audience or as working members of a local theater company dedicated to fine entertainment in the best traditions of community theater.

Vienna Theatre Company Winter Production

The Vienna Theatre Company presents Peter Pan
Written by J.M. Barrie
Directed by Jessie Roberts

This is not your grandmother’s Peter Pan. Based on the original J.M. Barrie script, Peter (formerly known as Petra), will be portrayed as a girl by a female actress. The dynamics change, but the story remains the same. It will awaken memories in adults and create them in children.

When Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Ones, loses her shadow, the headstrong Wendy helps her to reattach it. In return, Wendy and her brothers are invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell, the fairy; the Lost Ones; and the vengeful Captain Hook await. Magic and make-believe ensues.
