Tree Protection Bonds
As part of our efforts to protect Town trees, developers are required to submit a Tree Protection Bond if their development will be disturbing any Town trees or if they are requesting to remove any Town trees. The Bond serves as insurance that Town trees will be protected throughout the development process and that any Town tree removed or damaged will be replaced at the developer's expense.  Please refer to the Tree Preservation and Planting Specification Manual for cost guidelines.

If you are a developer, the Tree Protection Bond is completed by you and submitted to the Department of Public Works. It will then be reviewed by a Town Arborist who will approve the bond amount.
