If you are the victim or complainant in a case investigated by the department, the Police Department's record section will provide you with a confirmation of that case at no charge. It is best to call ahead at (703) 255-6365 to request a copy and then pick up the confirmation report in person, with photo identification in hand.

Requesting an Accident Report
Vehicle type accident report, if you have been involved in an accident that is reportable, we can provide you with a full copy of the actual DMV report made by the officer at no charge.

Citizens involved in the accident must appear in person at 215 Center Street South, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. You may still access a report after 3:00 pm, if you call ahead to arrange this. Please bring a driver's license for identification purposes.

Requesting a Criminal History Report
Criminal history reports provide an individual with a local records check on his or her own records. The report provides all adult conviction data listed in Vienna's records system (this does not include a county, state or national check). There is no charge for this service. You must at least 18 years of age to request the report and present photo identification. Note: This report is not able to be delivered via fax.

Requests Submitted by Companies and Firms
Insurance companies and law firms can obtain reports for $3 per copy, and checks should be made payable to the Town of Vienna. Law firms must submit a letter confirming they represent one of the parties involved to the records clerk at:
215 Center St. South
Vienna, VA 22180

Note: We cannot release the actual case report copy, except when court ordered through a Subpoena Ducas Tecum.
