Quarterly Automotive and Electronics Recycling at Northside Property Yard
Used Motor Oil, Antifreeze, and Vehicle Batteries
Waste oil, antifreeze, and vehicle batteries are collected at the Northside Property Yard, located at 600 Mill Street NE (entrance at the dead end of the street) and at 600 Glyndon Street NE. four times a year - on a Saturday in March, June, September, and December from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This service provided by the Department of Public Works (DPW) provides citizens with a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of vehicle waste products. Some service stations also will accept these materials.

Automobile tires may be left out for pick up on your regular trash day, but must be dismounted from the metal rim as required by the recycler.

DPW also offers recycling of electronics. At the Town's quarterly recycling events at the Northside Property Yard, you can also drop off electronics for recycling with Forever Green Recycle, Inc. Just about anything with a plug, except for CRT-type or "large backside" computers and TVs, are accepted.

No hazardous waste
Hazardous waste products such as insecticides, paint, and other chemicals are not accepted.
