The Town’s Finance Department handles both finance and treasury operations, including:
  • addressing customer questions
  • administering business license, meals tax, and dog license ordinances, which includes mailing out renewal bills, handling new registrations, and enforcing collection of unpaid licenses or taxes
  • calculating and producing bills for real estate taxes, vehicle license fees, and water and sewer bills
  • depositing and investing all Town funds
  • managing the accounts payable and payroll functions for the Town
  • monitoring collections
  • obtaining capital financing
  • overseeing the procurement process
  • producing the annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and periodic financial reports for Town Council
  • staffing the finance counter, where payments can be made on all Town bills
