Expansion and renovation of the Vienna Community Center is currently underway.The project includes the addition of a full-size gymnasium.

The renovation process began in 2012 with completion of the Community Center Feasibility Report. Construction was begun in September 2015.

NOVA Parks confirms the desire to relocate the W&OD Trail as part of the renovation project

Council decides to proceed with LEED Silver building plan and a phased approach to the renovation and expansion with the renovation in phase one and the gymnasium and site work in phase two

August 2013
Council receives a site plan concept drawing for discussion

September 2014
Council receives a building design concept for discussion

October 2014
Planning Commission approves the revised site plan

November 2014
Council work session of exterior building finishes.  Council public hearing on the revised site plan is set for November 17th

Public hearing held for Community Center site plan. Award of commissioning contract for LEED Silver certification.

September 2015
Construction begun
Spring 2017
Completion anticipated; reopening of the Community Center.
