Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from 19 jurisdictions including the Town of Vienna, is currently updating the Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan is expected to be adopted in February 2017 in order to comply with the five-year update cycle required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Before then, area residents are offered an opportunity to comment on the draft plan. The 2017 draft Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Plan is now available for public review and comment. Email any comments no later than Friday, October 2.

The Town of Vienna is covered under the Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was adopted by the Town Council in 2012.
