Why is my bill so high?
The best way to determine if your bill is unusually high is to track your consumption and compare any bill consumption that you think is high to the same quarter the previous year. While there will be fluctuations, the consumption should be similar. Amount of consumption is unique not only to each individual household but also fluxuates from house to house because of appliances and fixture heads. Therefore, comparing your water usage to neighbor’s is not an accurate way to determine if your bill is unusually high.

Things that can cause a bill to increase: addition of a new person to the household, watering, new appliances

If your bill is unusually high, you can contact the Customer Service Department at 703-255-6385 or and we will send a technician to your property to check the meter and do a leak check. This is a free service and you do not need to be home.
