Fairytales come to life in Vienna’s annual Halloween Parade

The Town of Vienna and Vienna Business Association are partnering to host the Town’s 73rd Annual Halloween Parade, which will light up Maple Avenue beginning at 7 pm Wednesday, October 23. This year’s float theme is “Children’s Books and Fairytales Brought to Life.”

Community volunteer and former Councilmember Carey Sienicki, who retired earlier this year after serving eight years on Council, is the 2019 Grand Marshal.

Costumed children and families who wish to march in the parade should meet at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of United Bank, 374 Maple Avenue E.

If you’re coming to watch and cheer, please remember that placeholders may not be set out before noon on the day of the parade, October 23. Also, do not place blankets or chairs on sidewalks, benches, or bus shelters.

The parade will be held rain or shine and is free and open to the public. Information about road closures and detours can be found at under Departments/Parks and Recreation/Special Events/Halloween Parade.
