TRANSPORTATION SAFETY COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES ON EAST STREET AND CHURCH STREET NORTHEAST.
(Council consideration of possible yellow striping, painted medians, pylons, and speed limit signs painted on Church Street and East Street.)

REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A SITE PLAN MODIFICATION AMENDMENT TO PERMIT OUTDOOR SEATING FOR CHURCH STREET CELLARS, 111 CHURCH STREET N.W., SUITE 103, IN THE C-1B PEDESTRIAN ZONING DISTRICT. FILED BY WEDDERBURN HOMES, OWNER.
(Council consideration to permit outdoor seating at this establishment.)

REQUEST APPROVAL OF A PROPOSAL FROM TRI-TEK ENGINEERING TO PERFORM ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING ANALYSIS ON THE TOWN HALL HEATING, VENTILATING, AND AIR CONDITIONING (H/VAC) SYSTEM, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $17,385.90.
(Council consideration to hire Tri-Tek to do an analysis of a Variable Air Volume replacement system for the Town Hall’s H/VAC system.)

REQUEST APPROVAL TO RIDE A FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT FOR PAVING, ASPHALT, AND SURFACE TREATMENT TO COMPLETE $46,018 WORTH OF PAVEMENT PATCHING WHICH HAD BEEN APPROVED WITH A COMPANY WHICH HAS SINCE GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. ADDITIONALLY, THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS REQUESTS APPROVAL TO RIDE THIS FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT FOR PAVEMENT PATCHING REQUIREMENTS THROUGH MARCH 31, 2009.
(Council consideration to utilize Fairfax County Contract #BL04-722963-12A-D for Paving, Asphalt, and Surface Treatment from now until its expiration on March 31, 2009.)

REQUEST APPROVAL TO PURCHASE TIRES AND TUBES UNDER A FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT WITH MCCARTHY TIRES SERVICE COMPANY, INC. AND DONALD B. RICE TIRE COMPANY, INC., IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $15,000.00, AND TO USE ADDITIONAL FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 FUNDS IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $10,955.00 TO COVER TIRE PURCHASES ALREADY MADE.
(Council consideration to ride Fairfax County Contract #BL03-639151-23 A&C for automobile, truck, and heavy equipment tires and tubes.)

AUTHORIZATION TO EXTEND CONTRACT IFB 06-13, (JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR TOWN HALL AND THE POLICE STATION) WITH BLUE CHIP SERVICE, INC. FOR A SIX MONTH PERIOD, FOR A TOTAL OF $20,743.92.
(Council consideration to extend this cleaning contract until it is re-bid or has new specifications incorporated.)




11.
CONSIDERATION OF SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS TO THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 2008 BUDGET.
(Council consideration of $250,691 worth of year-end account budgetary balances requested by the departments to be carried forward from last fiscal year.)




12.
SET DATE FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF TOWN COUNCIL.
(A special meeting of Town Council has been recommended for Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in order to conduct the yearly review of the Town Manager, the Town Attorney, and the Town Clerk.)
