REQUEST APPROVAL OF SIGNAGE FOR “VALERIANNE,” LOCATED AT 111 CHURCH STREET, N.W. IN THE C-1B PEDESTRIAN ZONING DISTRICT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 18, ZONING, SECTIONS 18-87.4 THROUGH 18-87.6. FILED BY AIMEE WEDVAKE, BUSINESS OWNER.

(Council consideration to allow a sign with a previously unapproved font style and colors.)

REQUEST APPROVAL TO RIDE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE CONTRACT #GS-07F-6106P WITH AMERICAN WAREHOUSE SYSTEMS, WIRECRAFTERS, LLC FOR WIRE PARTITIONS AT THE NUTLEY RECORDS STORAGE FACILITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,269.00.

(Council consideration to ride this contract for the purchase, installation, and freight on wire cage partitions in the new storage facility.)

REQUEST AUTHORIZATION FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,193.12 FOR THE CATERPILLAR LOADER’S TRANSMISSION, WHICH WAS REPAIRED BY ALBAN TRACTOR COMPANY, INC. UNDER FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT IFB 06-840799-12.

(Council consideration to approve these repairs on the Caterpillar Loader, performed by the only factory authorized dealer and repair shop in the D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan area.)

8.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION FOR VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (VDOT) STREET MAINTENANCE INVENTORY MILEAGE ADJUSTMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO FORMALLY SUBMIT THE APPLICATION.

(Council consideration to officially submit an updated record of local road changes and additions to be included for state maintenance.)

REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE INDUSTRIAL SUPPLIES, HVAC SUPPLIES, AND LAMPS FROM W.W. GRAINGER, INC. UNDER COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA CONTRACT #28500-06-08VP. (FUNDING WAS APPROVED ON MAY 21, 2007.)

(Council consideration to use this supply contract, with favorable pricing, through the end of the contract term of October 30, 2008.)

REQUEST APPROVAL TO PURCHASE AFTERMARKET AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND GENERAL REPAIR SERVICES FROM FAIRFAX AUTO PARTS, INC., UNDER FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT #RQ07-883871-11F. (FUNDING WAS APPROVED ON MAY 21, 2007.)

(Council consideration to use this Council of Governments contract, with favorable pricing.)

REQUEST FROM THE COMMONWEALTH TRANSPORTATION BOARD (CTB) FOR THE TOWN OF VIENNA TO IDENTIFY WHICH ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS MAY BE ELIMINATED, DUE TO DIMINISHED AVAILABLE FUNDING.

(Council consideration to prioritize the Town’s transportation funding needs, since the Commonwealth of Virginia may be forced to pull back on its commitments.)

Authorized Mayor to respond that the Town is not in agreement to rescind any program currently in the 6 year plan.




12.
SET DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE VIENNA TOWN CODE TO PERMIT SMALL ANIMAL BOARDING AT ANIMAL HOSPITALS (THROUGH THE AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 18, ZONING, ARTICLE 11, C-1, LOCAL COMMERCIAL ZONE REGULATIONS, SECTION 18-74E, “USE PERMIT REQUIRED,” AND CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE 21, CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS, SECTION 18-210P, “USE PERMITS REQUIRED”).

(Council consideration to change the Town Code to allow animal hospitals and clinics to provide boarding facilities to certain pets of 30 pounds or less.)

Public Hearing set for May 19, 2008.
