5. REQUEST APPROVAL FOR THE TOWN OF VIENNA TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE VIENNA-TYSONS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, TO CO-SPONSOR AN OKTOBERFEST AND TASTE OF VIENNA, ON OCTOBER 4, 2008.
(Council consideration to join the Chamber of Commerce in sponsoring this one-day event with local restaurants and merchants, to be held at the Town Green and along Church Street.)
Approved to assist in development of plans with Chamber; to come back to Town Council with definitive plans.
6. REQUEST TO INSTALL A SPEED HUMP ON TAZEWELL ROAD, N.W. WITH THE EXACT LOCATION TO BE DETERMINED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
(Council consideration to install a speed hump, which has been recommended by the Transportation Safety Commission and most of the residents on Tazewell Road.)

7. REQUEST TO USE ADDITIONAL APPROVED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (CIP) BOND FUNDS IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,500.00 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE RETAINING WALL ALONG THE NEW SIDEWALK AT 200 MCHENRY STREET, S.E., UNDER THE SAGRES CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION CONTRACT FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES.
(Council consideration to use the annual contract for general construction services that the Town has with Sagres Construction Corporation to build a retaining wall at 200 McHenry Street, next to the newly installed sidewalk there.)

8. EQUEST APPROVAL TO MAKE A ONE TIME SALARY ADJUSTMENT IN AN APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $55,700.00 TO EIGHT POLICE OFFICERS, IN ORDER TO RE-ESTABLISH FAIRNESS WITH FIVE OFFICERS WHO WERE ERRONEOUSLY OVERPAID FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
(Council consideration to make a salary adjustment to correct a salary inequity.)

9. SET DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN CODE, CHAPTER 11, PERSONNEL, REGARDING THE TIME PERIOD OF PROBATION FOR A NEW EMPLOYEE, THE POINT OF TIME WHEN THEY MAY TAKE ANNUAL LEAVE, AND WHETHER PART TIME EMPLOYEES WILL RECEIVE HOLIDAY PAY.
(Council consideration to schedule a public hearing to discuss proposed changes to the personnel regulations.)
Public Hearing set for January 28, 2008.
10. REQUEST APPROVAL TO APPROPRIATE THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 2007 PURCHASE ORDER ROLL FORWARD AMOUNTS FROM THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 2007 ENCUMBRANCE RESERVE INTO THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 2008 BUDGET.
(Council consideration to move funds from the 2007 budget into the 2008 budget.)

11. LIGHTS ON TREES AT THE TOWN GREEN.
(Council consideration of whether to have lights on the trees at the Town Green.)
Consensus to take lights off trees.
