6. PUBLIC HEARING ON AN INCREASE IN WATER AND SEWER RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2006.

(Public Hearing to consider a water rate increase of 11 cents per 1000 gallons used, and 9 cents per 1000 gallons for sewer usage.)

7. PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BONDS, NOTES OR OTHER FORMS OF INDEBTEDNESS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,000.000.00

(Public Hearing to consider this new debt, issued for various public improvements.)

8. ADOPTION OF PROPOSED RESOLUTION AWARDING THE FINANCING OF A $4,950,000.00 GENERAL OBLIGATION DEBT ISSUE TO COMMERCE BANK, AT A FIXED RATE OF 3.88%, AS BID IN RESPONSE TO IFB 06-16.

(Council consideration to award this bid for financing to Commerce Bank, the lowest bidder.)

Approved; award to Commerce Bank.







9. ADOPTION OF TOWN OF VIENNA 2006-2007 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET.

(Council consideration to adopt next year’s budget.)

Adopted.







10. ACCEPTANCE OF LETTER OF DISSOLUTION RECEIVED FROM THE NORTHERN VIRGINIA REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP.

(Council consideration of the NVRP’s notice that they are dissolving their operation.)
