2. Approval of the Minutes: Regular Council Meeting of February 27, 2006, and one Public Hearing of February 27, 2006, to be deferred until the Council meeting of March 20, 2006.

B. Receipt of petitions and communications from the public. Opportunity for members of the public to request Council consideration of items not already listed on the Agenda. Public commentary is limited to five (5) minutes.

5. PUBLIC HEARING ON RECOMMENDATION ON THE PROPOSED 2006 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (AN UPDATE OF THE 2000 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN); COMPRISING TEXT, MAP AND TABLE CHANGES IN DEMOGRAPHICS, ENVIRONMENTAL FEATURES, EXISTING LAND USE, TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM, PLANNING POLICY AND RECOMMENDATIONS, COMMUNITY FACILITIES AND SERVICES.
(Public Hearing on the updated Comprehensive Plan, which has been approved by the Planning Commission, and includes conversion of existing maps into the Town’s Geographic Information Systems format.)
Public Hearing continued to April 3, 2006.
6. REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO PURCHASE A BANNER TO HANG OVER MAPLE AVENUE, EAST, ANNOUNCING THE RECIPIENT OF THE TOWN/ BUSINESS LIAISON COMMITTEE’S COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD.
(Council consideration to move unused T/BLC funds over to another T/BLC account, in order to purchase a banner.)
Disapproved.
7. RECOMMENDATION TO THE FAIRFAX COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS OF INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AS ELECTION OFFICERS FOR THE MAY 2, 2006 TOWN ELECTION.
(Council consideration of a list of possible Election Officers to submit to the County Board.)
Approved.
8. SET DATE FOR CLOSED SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS.
(A Closed Session is needed to interview individuals for Town Boards and Commissions.)
