5. PUBLIC HEARING ON AN APPEAL OF A DECISION OF THE WINDOVER HEIGHTS BOARD OF REVIEW, IN WHICH THEY GRANTED A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE OWNERS OF 123 LEWIS STREET N.W. TO REPLACE THE EXISTING DWELLING WITH A NEW DWELLING STRUCTURE.

(Council will hold a Public Hearing on an appeal filed by Jerome A. Covel, regarding approval of the replacement of a private residential structure in the Historic District.)

Public Hearing closed; decision of Windover Board upheld.






6. PUBLIC HEARING ON A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSED CHANGE IN ZONING, FROM RS-12.5, SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENTIAL ZONE, TO PR-PARK AND RECREATIONAL ZONE, AND SITE PLAN APPROVAL FOR NUTLEY PARK, A PROPOSED 0.576 ACRE PASSIVE NEIGHBORHOOD PARK TO BE LOCATED NEXT TO THE TOWN’S PARK MAINTENANCE FACILITY AT 247 NUTLEY STREET, N.W.

(Council will hold a Public Hearing on a change the zoning classification of this “sickle-shaped” tract of land at the corner of Knoll Street and Nutley Street, in order to make it a small park.)

Public Hearing closed; Change in Zoning approved.






7. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A 5 YEAR LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF VIENNA AND INSITE FIBER OF VIRGINIA, INC.

(Council consideration of an agreement for underground fiber optic line from the Town limits on Malcolm Road to the White Oak Tower Building at 301 Maple Avenue West.)

Item deferred at request of applicant.






8. REQUEST APPROVAL TO RIDE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF CONSULTING SERVICES, TO DESIGN AND ADMINISTER AN ASSESSMENT CENTER PROCESS TO ESTABLISH AN ELIGIBILITY LIST FOR THE RANK OF POLICE SERGEANT.

(Council consideration to use Fields Consulting Group, Inc. to design and administer an assessment center selection process.)

9. SET DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, DEPICTING THE LOCATION OF EVERY LEGALLY ESTABLISHED PUBLIC STREET, ALLEY, WALKWAY, WATERWAY, AND PUBLIC AREA.

(Council consideration of the 2006 version of the Official Map, required by State Statute.)
