5. REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING UNDER TOWN OF VIENNA CONTRACT IFB 05-08, NUTLEY, FREDERICK, AND WALL STREET WATER TANKS, FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS ON THE WALL STREET TANK, BY GEORGE KOUNTOUPES PAINTING COMPANY, IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $140,000.00.

Council consideration of handling extensive rust damage repairs to the Wall Street Water Tank.

6. REQUEST TO AWARD IFB 06-07, FOR ONE CAB AND CHASSIS TRAILER WITH A 17 FOOT DUMP BODY, TO CENTRAL MOTOR COMPANY, UNDER THE APPROVED TOWN OF VIENNA VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $106,174.00.

Council consideration to purchase this vehicle from Central Motor Company, for use by the Department of Public Works.

7. REQUEST TO AWARD IFB 06-06, FOR THREE CAB AND CHASSIS TRUCKS WITH 10 FOOT DUMP BODIES, TO CENTRAL MOTOR COMPANY, UNDER THE APPROVED TOWN OF VIENNA VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $193,437.00.

Council consideration to purchase these vehicles from Central Motor Company, for the Department of Public Works.

8. REQUEST TO AWARD IFB 06-05, VIENNA PARKS AND RECREATION QUARTERLY BROCHURE, TO SILVER COMMUNICATIONS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,264.00.

Council consideration to award this contract for printing four 32 to 40 page brochures.

9. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO RIDE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA CONTRACT NUMBER 2000101-60VAPP FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE UNIFORMS AND ACCESSORIES.

Council consideration to ride this State contract.

10. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO RIDE FAIRFAX COUNTY CONTRACT NUMBER BL05-742559-23A-B TO LEASE VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Council consideration to ride this County contract.

11. REQUEST TO AWARD CAPITAL LEASE CONTRACT IFB 06-04, TO FINANCE THIS YEAR’S VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT ITEMS, TO BANC OF AMERICA LEASING AND CAPITAL, LLC.

Council consideration to award a bid for a four year capital lease program.

12. ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, CHAPTER 6, FINANCE AND TAXATION, SECTION 6-4.2, ELIGIBILITY FOR EXEMPTION OR DEFERRAL, TO MAKE ITS NET COMBINED FINANCIAL WORTH CAP AND GROSS INCOME LEVELS THE SAME AS THOSE RECENTLY APPROVED BY FAIRFAX COUNTY.

This amendment was approved at a Public Hearing on December 5, 2005, and is now before Council for adoption.

13. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF A PART-TIME FINANCE CLERK I POSITION IN THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT.

Council consideration to establish a permanent part time position in Finance.

Approved.






14. APPOINTMENT OF MR. ARTHUR (CHAD) BISHOP TO THE COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT COMMISSION AS THE REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE TOWN.

Council consideration to appoint Mr. Bishop to a two year term on this commission.
