5. PUBLIC HEARING – INCREASE IN WATER AND SEWER RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2005.

(Council will hold a Public Hearing on proposed new water and sewer rates.)

Public Hearing closed; Ordinance setting rates adopted.






6. AWARD OF SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT: INOVA URGENT CARE OF VIENNA.

(Council consideration of again using Inova Health Systems, with their nearby location that provides quick access for medical services for Town Employees.)

Approved award as proposed.






7. MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM.

(Council consideration of a maintenance agreement with Siemens ICN, who designed, built, and installed the telecommunications system.)

Approved.






8. A PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, CHAPTER 9, MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, ARTICLE 1, IN GENERAL, SECTION 9-3, ADOPTION OF STATE CODE.

(Every year the Town must incorporate State of Virginia changes to the motor vehicle and driving provisions to keep the Town Code consistent with the State Code.)

Approved; placed on agenda of June 20, 2005 for adoption.






9. ADOPTION OF TOWN OF VIENNA 2005-2006 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET.

(Unless there are any other amendments, the Town’s Budget for the next fiscal year is ready for adoption.)

Budget Adopted.






10. SET DATE FOR CLOSED SESSION.

(Set date for a closed session to discuss matters of personnel.)

Closed session set for June 13, 2005 at 7:30 p.m.






11. APPROVAL OF REQUEST OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA REGIONAL COMMISSION THAT EACH MEMBER JURISDICTION SUBMIT A LETTER TO THE DEFENSE BASE CLOSURE AND REALIGNMENT COMMISSION REQUESTING AN ADDITIONAL REGIONAL HEARING IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA.

(Council consideration to send a letter to request another local hearing in regards to decisions about the possible displacement of military bases in Northern Virginia.)
