5. PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, CHAPTER 6, SECTION 4.2, TAX RELIEF FOR THE ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED.

(Council consideration of an amendment to increase the tax cap to $240,000.00)

6. REVIEW OF RAISED CROSSWALK AT LOUISE ARCHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

(Council consideration of changes to the crosswalk at Knoll Street and Nutley Street, N.W.)

--Transportation Safety Commission recommendations approved, excluding sidewalk on east side of Nutley St, to be considered at a later time.






7. REQUEST TO EXPEND FY 2004-2005 FUNDS TO WHITMAN, REQUARDT AND ASSOCIATES, LLP FOR PREPARATION OF AN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR EXTENDED POWER OUTAGES.

(Development and maintenance of an Emergency Management Plan for each community public water supply for the provision of pure water during any extended power outage.)

8. CONSENT AGENDA: CONTRACT ITEMS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, GROUPED TOGETHER FOR THE PURPOSE OF SIMPLIFYING THE AWARD PROCESS.

8-1 IFB to replace one Sewer and Catch-Basin truck.
8-2 Purchase Solar Traffic Signal equipment from Atlantic Technical Sales.
8-3 Purchase Traffic Signal equipment from J.O. Herbert Co, Inc.
8-4 Extend contract for recyclable material processing.
8-5 Extend riding contract for car and truck parts, service and warranty work.
8-6 Extend contract for Asphalt Milling, Overlay, and Traffic Markings.
8-7 Award of IFB to paint water tanks at Nutley, Frederick, and Wall Streets.

9. ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 18, ZONING, ARTICLE 2, DEFINITIONS, SECTION 18-4, DEFINITIONS, SHOPPING CENTER, AS IT IS NOW DEFINED IN THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA.

(Council consideration to revise the definition of the term, Shopping Center.)

10. ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, CHAPTER 6, FINANCE AND TAXATION, ARTICLE 8, PROCUREMENT, SECTION 6-72, DEFINITIONS, AND SECTION 6-74, METHODS OF PROCUREMENT, TO SECTION 6-76, EFFECTIVE DATE, INCLUSIVE.

(Council consideration to modify the Town’s purchase regulations for purchases of less than $10,000.00.)
