5. APPEAL FILED BY MR. & MRS. FRANK LILLIS, 313 WINDOVER AVENUE, N.W. FROM A DECISION BY THE WINDOVER HEIGHTS BOARD OF REVIEW, REGARDING 315 WINDOVER AVENUE, N.W.
(Council’s consideration and decision on an Appeal filed by Mr. & Mrs. Frank Lillis, 313 Windover Avenue, N.W., from a decision by the Windover Heights Board of Review, regarding 315 Windover Avenue, N.W.)
RESULTS: Decision of the Windover Heights Board of Review upheld; application approved.
6. CONSIDERATION TO ENDORSE A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE NORTHERN VIRGINIA REGIONAL COMMISSION (NVRC) RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE NVRC CHARTER AGREEMENT.
(Council’s consideration to endorse a Resolution adopted by the NVRC recommending amendments to the NVRC Charter Agreement.)
RESULTS: Approved endorsement of NVRC Resolution.
7. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR FY 04-05 PAYMENT OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DICTAPHONE FOR RECORDING EQUIPMENT IN POLICE COMMUNICATIONS CENTER.
(Council’s consideration to approve funding for FY 04-05 payment of Lease Agreement with Dictaphone for recording equipment in Police Communications Center.)
RESULTS: Approved.
8. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO RIDE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONTRACT 020509-LRKA FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE CAD/RMS TECHNOLOGY PROJECT IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
(Council’s consideration to approve the request to ride Virginia Department of Information Technology Contract 020509-LRKA for the acquisition of Consulting Services for the CAD/RMS Technology Project, in the Police Department.)
RESULTS: Approved.
9. CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCES TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF VIENNA, CHAPTER 18, ZONING, AS FOLLOWS: ARTICLE 2, DEFINITIONS, SECTION 18-4 THROUGH THE ADDITION OF DEFINITIONS FOR THE TERMS “TEMPORARY PUBLIC USE MANUFACTURED HOME” AND “PUBLIC USE TRAILER” AND THROUGH THE REVISION OF THE TERM “TRAILER”; ARTICLE 17, SECTION 18-143, BY ADDING “MANUFACTURED HOME” TO THAT LIST OF USES NOT CONSIDERED TO BE AN ACCESSORY BUILDING OR DWELLING; ARTICLE 18, SUPPLEMENTAL REGULATIONS, SECTION 18-152, “TRAILERS”; AND TO ADD NEW SECTION 18-152.2 “PUBLIC USE TRAILERS AND “MANUFACTURED HOMES”; ARTICLE 21, “CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS” , SECTION 18-209; AND ARTICLE 25, “SITE PLAN CONTROL PROVISIONS.”
(Council’s consideration to refer the above cited Proposed Ordinances to a Work Session for review and discussion.)
RESULTS: Approved to refer to future Work Session.
10. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT A PROCLAMATION TO MEMORIALIZE THOSE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO LOST THEIR LIVES ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001.
(Council’s consideration to adopt a Proclamation to Memorialize those Men, Women and Children who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.)
RESULTS: Adopted.
11. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT A PROCLAMATION IN RECOGNITION OF THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VIENNA CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED FEDERAL EMPLOYEES.
(Council’s consideration to adopt a Proclamation in Recognition of the 35th Anniversary of the Vienna Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.)
RESULTS: Adopted.
12. CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT A PROCLAMATION TO ESTABLISH THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 17 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 23, 2004, CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES WEEK.
(Council’s consideration to adopt a Proclamation to establish the week of September 17 through September 23, 2004, Constitution of the United States Week.)
RESULTS: Adopted.
13. DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TAX LIST
(Council’s consideration of the Real Estate Property Tax List for publication in a local newspaper and posting on the Town’s web site.)
RESULTS: Approved.
14. RECOMMENDATION TO AWARD CONTRACT TO THE TOWN’S AUDITORS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO ASSIST IN STUDY OF LONG-TERM WATER PURCHASE SOURCES AND MODEL TO PROJECT RATE IMPACTS.
(Council’s consideration to award a contract to the Town’s Auditors for professional services to assist in study of long-term water purchase source and model to project rate impacts.)
RESULTS: Deferred to Regular Meeting of September 13, 2004.
15. APPOINTMENT OF MS. CAROLE WOLFAND TO THE MAPLE AVENUE VISION COMMITTEE.
(Council’s consideration to appoint Ms. Carole Wolfand to the Maple Avenue Vision Committee.)
