Each Town employee has the option of enrolling in the Optimum Choice/Mamsi health insurance program. The Town will pay 80% of the monthly premium for an individual and 50% of the monthly premium for family coverage.

Other Insurance
The Town also provides personnel with the following insurance plans:
Life Insurance
Round salary to the next highest $1,000 and double that figure
for the value of the life insurance policy.
Worker's Compensation
the Town pays for all services under this policy.
Retirement
All officers are enrolled in the Town of Vienna Police Retirement Plan. Members contribute 1.5% of their base salary into the plan via bi-weekly payroll deductions and the Town pays 1.64% of each member's salary. Police personnel may retire after serving for a continuous period of at least twenty (20) years. Police personnel must participate in the Virginia Retirement System's (VRS) State Law Enforcement Officers Retirement System (LEOS) as a condition of employment. There is no cost to the officer as the Town pays the full contribution amount of 16.74% of annual salary.

Deferred Compensation Program
The Town of Vienna has adopted and implemented an optional Deferred Compensation plan for all full time, permanent employees. The program is administered through the International City Management Association - Retirement Corporation. Membership in this program is optional and an employee may join this plan at anytime during the year (open season restrictions do not apply). The purpose of this deferred compensation is to allow employees to postpone receipt of a portion of their salary and receive its value when they retire. The amount of earnings deferred is not subject to income taxes and is not subject to taxation, until the money is paid out upon retirement. These payments are made via payroll deductions and may be increased, decreased or discontinued at any time at the employee's discretion.

Employee Assistance Program
The Town of Vienna offers to all permanent employees and their immediate family members the counseling services of the Employee Assistance Program. Referrals can be made by a supervisor or the employee. This program is provided at no cost to the employee.
