VIENNA VEHICLE LICENSE FEE
Effective July 1, 2010 the Town has adopted a Vehicle License Fee for all motor vehicles owned or stored in the Town of Vienna. The fee is $33 for cars and trucks and $18 for motorcycles and is due November 30, 2010. The Town will allow all exemptions under the state code. No decal will be issued. For more information, refer to the Town Code, Chapter 9, Article 7, or call 703-255-6361.
Vienna residents still need to register car disposals or purchases with Fairfax County, as Fairfax County administers the Personal Property Tax on vehicles. This can be done on their web site at fairfaxcounty.gov/dta, or call 703-222-8234.
MEAL AND LODGING TAX
Effective July 1, 2008 the meal and lodging tax rate will revert back to 3%.
The Finance Department provides overall management and supervisory activities of the Town´s financial operations. It develops financial policy recommendations to the Town Manager and Town Council. It coordinates central systems development and administers the central computer system. It provides general accounting and financial reporting services and prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. It provides cash management and coordinates capital financing.
The Finance Department includes the following divisions: Disbursement Operations; Data Processing; Purchasing; Central Services; and Revenue Operations.
